chapter 1

In the first chapter of Chinese Cinderella I got an idea of what this book will be about. The main character of the book(Adeline Yen Mah) is a neglected unwanted child, she has older brothers and sisters and is the youngest of their family. She is considered to be “bad luck” because when she was born her mum died giving birth to her. As she just starts kindergarten she is doing her best at school already winning awards such as a silver brooch and certificates of excellence. Adelines aunt(aunt baba) is very embarrassed to talk to Adeline about her sisters death as Adeline asks lots of questions about her.
